AI & Your Career: How to Stay Ahead and Stand Out
The tools have changed. The opportunity hasn’t. AI is reshaping the media and entertainment industry—and the students and early-career professionals who understand what’s actually happening will have a real advantage over those who don’t.
This practical, no-hype workshop cuts through the noise to give you a clear, honest picture of how AI is changing careers across content, business, and technology—and what you can do about it.
You’ll learn how AI is already being used across the industry, which skills employers are prioritizing now, and how to use AI tools thoughtfully and effectively to strengthen your work and your career. Most importantly, you’ll leave with a practical playbook for showing up ready in an increasingly competitive job market.
What We’ll Cover:
-
How AI is actually changing media and entertainment careers across content, business, and technology
-
What employers are looking for now—and the skills that are becoming more valuable
-
Which AI tools are already embedded in industry workflows and how to use them effectively
-
How to use AI as an advantage without losing your own voice, judgment, and creativity
-
The mistakes job seekers are making with AI—and how to avoid them
-
Five concrete moves you can make this week to stand out in a competitive job market
No hype. No doom. Just the information and the playbook you need to show up ready.

MEET Eddie Luisi
Stage Manager, ABC Good Morning America
What does it take to thrive in live television for more than four decades—and build a career defined not only by what you accomplish, but by the people you help along the way? Join us for a Leadership Talk with Eddie Luisi, longtime Stage Manager at ABC’s Good Morning America, whose remarkable career in live television began in 1981. Over the years, Eddie has worked across ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, MTV, VH1, HBO, Comedy Central, Children’s Television Workshop, and more, with experience spanning stage management, producing, directing, and composing. He has been part of 11 Emmy-winning shows and directorial teams and has spent more than 40 years at Good Morning America, helping make live television happen every day. But Eddie’s story extends well beyond the studio. A lifelong musician, ASCAP composer and publisher, and dedicated mentor and connector, he has built his life around relationships, service, and helping others find opportunities. A friend once gave him a fitting nickname: the “Divine Appointer”—someone with a gift for bringing the right people together at the right time. In this candid conversation, Eddie will take us behind the scenes of live television, share lessons from a career working alongside some of the best in the business, and reflect on the importance of relationships, generosity, adaptability, and finding purpose in the work you do. We’ll explore: - What really happens behind the scenes of live television - The role of a stage manager and what it takes to keep a live broadcast running smoothly - Lessons from more than 40 years at Good Morning America - How to build lasting relationships and a strong reputation in the industry - Navigating unexpected moments when there are no second takes - Why helping and connecting others has been central to Eddie’s career and life - Finding purpose, longevity, and fulfillment in a media career Bring your questions and join us for a candid conversation about the realities of live television, how to build longevity in a career, and finding your purpose in every day. We will have a Q&A with the audience. Please bring your questions. Please RSVP by September 15. Space is limited.
